After a consistent stretch of touring with Dead Horses in quartet fashion from mid 2017-early 2018, my life on the road with the band has simmered down a bit for now. But I’m stoked to share that I’ve returned to the studio with Sarah Vos and Dan Wolff early this winter to knock out a series of new DH singles!
“Family Tapes”, the first Dead Horses single of 2019 was released today.
Recording with Dead Horses at The Refuge (Refuge Foundation for the Arts – Appleton, WI) alongside engineering wizard, Sam Farrell (The Lately, Cory Chisel), renewed my zeal for collaborative arranging while recording percussion on the fly. You’ll hear a more rockin’ approach to playing brushes on drum kit as well as some classic shaker and tambo on this track…
